Hi, I'm Laura

I am a DONA International trained doula, self-proclaimed birth nerd, and mom of 3. I support all birthers and their partners, and I believe in the power of an attuned and attentive partnership in birth as a foundation for long-term family well-being. I work hard to help your partner help you, never taking away from their invaluable role in this pivotal experience, but rather augmenting their presence during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

I am honored to attend your birth whether at home, at a birth center, or in the hospital. I believe in advocating for each family's right to autonomy and informed decision-making and work hard to ensure the families I work for have access to all the information they need to make confident choices for themselves and their baby(ies).

I am also a trauma-informed LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) and bring this foundational knowledge to every family I serve. Additionally, I have experience as a hairstylist and am known for my excellent head massages during and after the work of birth.

Complete Birth Package

$950

This includes attendance at your birth from active labor through 1-2 hours postpartum as well as 2 prenatal meetings and 1 postpartum meeting in your home*.

*Prenatal meetings will take place in the family's home (if within 30 minutes of Fishers, IN) or at another location (coffee shop, park, restaurant, library, etc) within 30 minutes of Fishers if your home is outside of this radius. The postpartum visit will take place in your home regardless of distance from Fishers, though a small travel fee could be required based on distance.

Additional prenatal or postpartum meetings can be added a la carte.

Sliding Scale Available

If finances are a barrier for you, please reach out, as I do offer a sliding scale and would be glad to work with you to find an affordable support plan! I believe every family who wants a doula deserves to have one!

I serve families who are planning to deliver at birth locations within an hour drive of Fishers, IN.

I'll come to you for prenatal meetings if your home is within 30 minutes of Fishers, IN or I'll meet you at another location (coffee shop, park, restaurant, library, etc) within 30 minutes of Fishers if your home is outside of this radius. The postpartum visit will take place in your home regardless of distance from Fishers, though a small travel fee could be required based on distance.

I will be on call from weeks 37-42 of your pregnancy. I will make every effort to attend births that fall outside of this range as well.

I will always arrange for a backup doula for your birth. You will have their contact information by no later than 36 weeks, ideally meeting them at your 36 week prenatal visit.

Yes, I am happy to customize packages to best fit your family's needs. Additional time can be added to the birth package for $40/hour for prenatal preparation or postpartum support.

At this time, no. I am at your birth to support the birthing person and their partner and will gladly include your other children in your birth if that is your desire, but I am not primarily responsible for the care of your other children as this would distract my focus from supporting you in the life-changing work you are doing to bring their sibling into the world.
